The initial inspiration for this typeface, New Brush, began from my digital drawing practice while using the Paintbrush tool in Adobe Illustrator. The tool mimics real brush strokes, but also has its own formal vector quality. Users can acquire a unique consistency between organic brush strokes and mechanized replication through this digital brush. The initial sketch was presented at the Type Thursday held by the Type Directors Club New York.
